Description of Case: 67-year-old married female with non-small cell lung cancer. progressed over a 20-month period from curable to incurable. She currently has stage IV lung cancer with a dismal chance of 5-year survival in the 10-20% range. Due to a misread in the chest x-ray and failure to timely follow-up a suspicious lung mass, her lung cancer progressed. While currently in remission, her cancer has metastatic components that portend a poor prognosis.
